Some family members have difficulty operating picture viewers that use advanced controls, unfamiliar words, and contain features they don't need. And most installations are too complex for emailing or talking a recipient through installing. Easy to installSimpleMiser JPG is just one standalone EXE file which comes packagedin a self-extracting file. Just instruct the recipient to change the default install folder to the folder containing their picture files. This puts MISERJPG.EXE directly into the picture folder, where it automatically finds pictures in that folder and subfolders within it. The subfolder names are displayed on buttons making it most obvious how to view a different series. Exceptional picture qualitySimpleMiser JPG provides the best picture quality of any viewer wehave (lots), especially of enlarged views. Just right-click the photo to enlarge to the full viewer window. If you enlarge the view of small pictures often, this alone might be a good reason to use SimpleMiser JPG. Please note: SimpleMiser JPG only views JPG picture files (aka JPEG files). This is the standard picture format for internet downloading, emailing, digital cameras, and the disks you receive when having photos developed. SimpleMiser JPG is now Free! You can distribute as many copies of SimpleMiser JPG as you like! Theprogram will display one unobtrusive text link to one of our commercial products at the bottom of the opening screen only. When another picture is viewed, it goes away. This is not like adware with distracting banners all over the place - it's only a few underlined words in dead space on the opening screen and only when the program first opens. But if the link bothers you, you can register the program for $10 to get rid of it. It can also be registered online here. Download SimpleMiser JPGSIMPLEMJ.EXE (Windows 95/98/ME/XP/2000/NT) 375kHow to set up a CD to mail pictures* 1. Right-click on this link: AUTORUN.INF file, then select "Save linkas" to save it on your system. If you left-click, you'll just see the contents of the file. * 2. Put the JPG pictures in a folder named PICTURES The PICTURES folder can be anywhere on your system as long as it is named PICTURES. (This is just so the AUTORUN.INF file will autostart the CD. If you know how to edit the AUTORUN.INF file, you can use any folder name). * 3. If you have other series of JPG pictures, put them in subfolders inside the PICTURES folder. The names of the subfolders can be anything, but 8 or less characters are recommended since the names will be displayed on buttons in SimpleMiser JPG. * 4. Run the above SimpleMiser JPG download file (SIMPLEMJ.EXE) and specify the PICTURES folder as the Install folder. The PICTURES folder now contains SimpleMiser JPG (file MISERJPG.EXE), your first series of JPG pictures, and possibly up to 16 subfolders containing other series of JPG pictures. * 5. Copy the PICTURES folder to the CD. The CD now has one folder on it named PICTURES. * 6. Copy the AUTORUN.INF file to the ROOT directory of the CD. The CD now has two items in the root directory: the AUTORUN.INF file and the PICTURES folder. Ready to send the CD! It will autostart when inserted into the CD Rom, showing the first picture and a "Next" and "Back" button to view the rest. If you have subfolders inside the PICTURES folder, the names will be listed on buttons. When a button is clicked, the first picture in the subfolder will be shown. Simple, and that's the whole point of SimpleMiser JPG! Repeat steps 5 and 6 for each CD you wish to send. Hint: The first picture in the root folder is displayed immediately when the program is run. Make this your "introduction" picture with text on it, etc. Name it something like 0000.JPG so it will be sorted to the top. Any questions? Please contact us here. Thanks for using SimpleMiser JPG! |
