We frequently update the download file with incremental filter
improvements to stay ahead of spammers. Updates may also contain new
features and fixes as listed below. For clickable links to new or
revised features, see section "Finding out what's new" in the first
Help topic.

Newsreader

Fix unresponsive RIGHT-click in Nicknames list to open "Notes box"
when no item previously selected.

Delete attachments for snipped messages (if not saving in "Snipped"
list).

New spam list options on clicking "Subject" title in spam list: 1)
List attachments, 2) Delete attachments, 3) Downsize spam messages to
no more than about 4 screens of content (if older than 90 days,
reduces to just a few lines).

Move attachments in auxiliary function that moves messages between
folders (mailboxes).

Selection to remove beginning >>> characters from message.

Signals to disable collection of certain POP3 accounts, with selection
to collect all if desired. Signal to collect brief header information
only to conveniently clear out lots of spam after periods of
inactivity.

Interrupt mail collection wtih graceful disconnect.

Automatically add new POP3 addresses to "Require in 'To' line" list if
active.

Time to transfer new messages to old messages variable down to 1
month.

Prevent switch folders during mail collection.

Allow folder assignments based on "To:" address, also making message
replies in that folder use the same "To:" address as sender.

Allow both folder and category assignment to same received message.

Allow redirecting all disk operations to the install drive, allowing
MiserMail to be ported among different systems via zip or USB drives
(etc.) with varying drive letters.

Option to display messages list upon sending message. Keep previously
selected item when list is shown.

Automatic support of systems set to use European (d/m/y) dates
(however MiserMail will still display dates in m/d/y format.

Due to ongoing filter improvements that have reduced the amount of
"questionable" spam that may contain misidentifications, we recommend
a new alternative to sending recontact requests called "Dummy Spam
Reply" which is also very easy for beginners to set up. See Help topic
"Spam - The Quick Course."

To take full advantage of ongoing improvements to the spam filter when
updating MiserMail, you should click on the "Suggestions" button on
the Spam removal page to include new settings. Note that this may
re-enter some default spam phrases that you purposely removed,
requiring you to delete them again.
